Despite her latest song, "I Wanna Have Your Babies", I do like the song "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield. It has a great message.
For my second, I'm thinking Louis Armstrong performing "What a Wonderful World".
"Chelsea Morning" by Joni Mitchell
That is a superb suggestion, roxy. Excellent call and one that I would have missed for awhile.
"December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" by The Four Seasons.
aimee, could you explain your love of this song? it is very upbeat, I'll give it that, but the Four Seasons have a lot of songs like that. Remember "Watch the Flowers Grow"?
It has little to do with the words of the song, it's primarily about that upbeat sound. It makes me happy. It reminds me of some fun times in college - listening to the radio on a particular spring break, doing rehab work on an Applachian house in the hills of KY, dancing (literally) on the peak of a roof, tool belt on, with hammer in hand. Dancing in the line also were my roommate, a professor from Keystone College, an exchange student from Greece, coordinator for the project and one of the neighbors. It was a very strange group to come together by song to celebrate the task of completing a roof. Neat time.
FYI - Nick loves "Unwritten" by Bedingfield. You should hear him try to sing it.
