My suggestions are:
What's New Pussycat, Tom Jones. It just makes me smile. The question is, will the Happy Guy kick it out because it is a "cat-related" reference?
Another suggestion, I'm a Believer, The Monkees. A Very happy tune.
Last one, Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, The Police.

Great suggestions, especially the Monkees. That's one I would have done. Well, and The Police, too.
I don't kick cat-related references. I kick cats. Well, I used to before I became the Happy Guy. Now, I just picture it in my mind.
I'm kidding.
Mostly.
I love the song "Oh Happy Day" by the Edwin Hawkins Singers. The unexpurgated joy in the vocals makes me feel great, even if the words don't quite work for me personally. You got to sing along with this one.
"I Believe I Can Fly" by R Kelly. The guy is reprehensible, but the song is amazingly upbeat and positive. Is it enough to overcome the stigma attached to the singer?
